A word about borders (boundary)
The practice and study of social welfare must always focus on the "periphery" (margin), showing empathy for the concerns of individuals who are pushed to the margins. It is essential to listen to the voices of people in marginal positions or residing in marginal areas, understand their concerns, and translate those insights into action. I believe that the mission of social welfare practice and research is to listen to and understand the voices of those in marginal positions, incorporating their perspectives. Researching the structural discrimination and underlying issues of marginalization is crucial, and providing recommendations for improving the lives of those affected, as well as advocating with the authorities, is necessary.
